This Christmas, Green Has Italia has chosen to make a contribution to CISV (Community, Commitment, Service, Volunteering – www.cisvto.org) in support of the ‘Nutrition and Food Security in Mali’ project. The project aims to assist families, particularly mothers with children, by improving food and nutrition security and enhancing access to health services and child protection.
In particular the project includes the construction of irrigation wells, support for farmers in cereal and legume production through the provision of seeds, and the rehabilitation of horticultural perimeters. Horticultural cooperatives will also receive training in agro-ecological practices and climate change adaptation. Additionally, families will benefit from training on healthy nutrition and child nutrition, especially in challenging circumstances.
