In recent years, thanks to Greenhas Group, many winegrowers across Italy and Europe have experienced how a targeted biostimulant strategy, based on the preventive use of specific solutions to protect vineyards against summer stress, can be an effective tool to maintain high production levels while meeting the strict quality standards that define the European wine sector.
At the core of this strategy is Eranthis, a CE-certified biostimulant (EU Reg. 1009/2019) specifically formulated to optimize water use efficiency and light radiation management, under both deficient and excessive conditions.
Yield losses due to reduced berry weight and then must volume, as well as bunch sunburn leading to phenolic degradation, oxidation of aromatic compounds, and acidity drop, are just some of the issues directly associated with summer stress that Eranthis can help mitigate.
Eranthis is a highly versatile biostimulant that can be applied from the pre-flowering stage through veraison, ideally in a preventive approach ahead of heatwaves or drought periods.
The recommended dose is 2 l/ha, regardless of the application volume, with four applications being ideal.
In general, the best results are achieved when Eranthis is applied at pre-flowering, fruit set, berry growth, and veraison. However, to protect or enhance the aromatic profile of specific varieties, 2 to 3 applications at 7–10-day intervals during the ripening phase are advised.
